Carol LaVerne White Taylor

I was born in Georgetown Ky.we moved with my 3 brothers and 2 sisters to Winchester,Ky in 45-53.They gave us my 2 youngest sisters while living in Winchester.Total siblings-3 brothers-4 sisters.
Two oldest brothers went in the Navy from there,so left 6@home.
1953,Dad moved us to Lex,Ky.where he had traveled to for 8yrs to Michells Dry Cleaning business in downtown Lex.Was there til he was 59.retired from heart attack..

1953-I was going in the 4th grade at Lafayette Jr high along with my big brother John.he was held back a yr or 2 so we graduated together. :)I was Very Shy so was John. I didn't like school from grade 1-12.:) I started in 4th in big white bldg.cant remember teachers name .got all my report cards..will check.

Lafayette Jr bldg in 5th. Big Picadome -6th/to Laf.Jr.-the big white bldg-7th//8-9th in center- red brick or stone bldg./ Lafayette Senior bldg.in 10th-12.moved us alot..

Dateing Ronnie Taylor from Sophomore yr-grad.
Married in June 63.Was 49yrs.this yr. time goes so fast.
He went to Lafayette ,chose to drop out the last 6wks..
Got his GED.worked many yrs.as Bakery Truck driver.Cottrells Bakery/Wonder Bread Co./I.B.M.-Lex-Mark 23yrs ..
I worked 6 mo.at Sq.D.Co.Chose to be at home wife/mom/13yrs.
After having 4 children.Worked/Foodtown,Southand,part-time/ 5yrs/
cashier.Started Lexington Beauty Academy,when at Foodtown.
Last child was in Kindergarten.Got my Hair and Cosmotology Lic.Worked in a shop for 14 mo.'s.Left it/worked yr. at the old Welgo Traders in Southland,.Left there./worked on my own doing hair at home an for senior citizen homes..til 2009.I did lots of hair cuts during yrs before i got ever got my lic.

We have lived same place since 69..close to my mom an my dad.He passed in 85.Took care of them along with my siblings.We took care of mom for 4-1/2yrs/97-2001, in her home w/help of all siblings.She had 2 strokes.I like to work in yard-garden.It has not been easy last few yrs with bad knees an back.Just getting old.:)Retired due to bad knees.
Ron has had heart leg artery problems,surgeries.Still fishing an golfing when he can.We eat out with friends an relatives and kids and grands.We enjoy doing things with our kids an grandkids above.
All live in surrounding counties.I also still have all 7 living siblings.We all get together at Easter..We all have large families...They all are a joy!!

I was shy all my yrs in school so not much to tell.:)cried in class the first 3yrs of school..did not like to talk in front of the class so never raised my hand only for restroom.had strict parents..but our mom would let us stay home some days when not sick.but i was sick alot in my elementry days,had miagrains....we would do things
for mom when she let us stay home...

Our last day ,i was brave :)and me and ron an several others as most do skip the last day..we all went to boonesboro beach the night before and had a bonfire ..and all slept in our cars..no one got arrested or in trouble that i know of.no drinking that i know of..then we spent the day on the beach.my mom did know where i was..but not my dad.:)
